Abstract

This study examined nursing work environments and patient outcomes by reviewing overall satisfaction and recovery experiences. Researchers employed a descriptive and analytical research design to describe and summarize data from nurses and patients, and to analyze how factors such as leadership, teamwork, staffing adequacy, and professional autonomy influenced care outcomes. Analyses indicated that supportive environments significantly increase patient satisfaction, which in turn enhances recovery and reduces lengths of stay. Leadership and teamwork were the strongest predictors of satisfaction, while adequacy of staffing influenced recovery outcomes. It is valuable for future healthcare policy and practice to recognize that patient satisfaction serves as a mediator between nursing structural environments and patient recovery experiences, and that the quality of workplace conditions may directly influence the quality of healthcare. Thus, the improvement of nursing environments is increasingly significant for achieving nursing profession satisfaction and improving patient-centered outcomes.
